Unison by Ear

No distance at all — and 2 other distances waiting to be named instead.

The interval drill loads here.

The unison is no distance at all across. Sung or played, it is one of thirteen answers, and the reason it stays hard is that 2 distances sit close enough to steal it: minor 2nd and octave. Turn it upside down and the same two notes come back as the octave, which is why that one belongs on the list.

Confusion setminor 2nd · octave — drill it against these, never on its own. It is the reference every other answer is measured against, so it never shows up inside a chord round as a colour of its own.

Anchor tunes, each with the direction to move your voice — the part of an anchor that actually transfers:

  • Row, Row, Row Your Boat — sing it as one repeated pitch.
  • One Note Samba — sing it as one repeated pitch.
